Back! Back! Back to School!

My how time flies by! Winter break finally drew to a close and I am back in Gainesville with classes in full swing. This semester already has me feeling busy as my final months as a Dazzler and a Zeta keep my calendar full. Don’t confuse that for a complaint, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Classes began on Monday. This semester, my schedule consists of “Construction Finance”, “Mechanical Systems”, “Estimating II”, “Scheduling”, and lastly, a BIM class. For those who have not heard my BIM speech in person, BIM, or Building Information Modeling, relates to the process of creating virtual models of buildings on the computer using all sorts of data to represent a project during its life cycle. Some shows on HGTV might give you an idea of what the models look like from an architectural standpoint. The BIM class is actually the class I have been looking forward to most because I’m interested in pursuing this as a career.

In other news, the Gators defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC home opener this past Tuesday. The O’Dome filled up with fans and the place roared with cheers throughout the game. We also debuted our newest half tops which look fantastic! The poster should be headed our way some time this week. I’m definitely looking forward to a great SEC season for our boys!

I wish I had more to report but alas I’ve spent most of my free time either catching up on much needed sleep or unpacking from break. Tonight marks the 21st birthday of one of my great friends, Kathryn! Hopefully tonight brings some good times to remember!

TTFN!
